I dedicate this post to Miss Funnel Cake and her out of this world
cake topper.
Unfortunately I am not even close to her level of craftiness so I decided to buy my cake topper. Best.Wedding.Decision.Ever! I am so in love with our cake topper it is not even funny. I stalked etsy for days looking for the perfect topper and finally came across
A Simple Start's page.
Her toppers were so adorable and reasonably priced that I immediately sent her an email with a little inspiration board of Mr. Cuke Sammie and myself.
Jenni immediately emailed me back and said she would love to make us a topper with Pickle Puppy. In about three weeks I had these glorious images in my inbox.
And here is the topper in all her glory at the wedding (yes, it is a her).
It seems like after the wedding there are so few tangible things that you get to take home. Sure, you will always have the pictures and the memories but a lot of the 'crafty' things get thrown out or given to guests. I am not really going to store all of my handmade table numbers or keep all of my milk glass that I spent hours collecting. I love the cake topper because it is something tangible that I get to take home and display. Every time I glance over at her on the shelf she gives me the warm fuzzies! I love that she depicts us in our wedding day finest and has the Pickle Pupple. I adore that she can be displayed in our home for people to see when they come to visit. Towards the end of the planning process I started looking for things that I would take with me to the 'other side'. Tangible things that I could look at and remember how much fun I had planning/crafting the wedding.
Anyone else super excited about their cake topper? Married bees; what did you keep after the wedding?
